White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany Tests Positive for COVID-19

October 5, 2020 by Staff

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany posted on Twitter Monday morning October 5, 2020, that after testing negative every day since last Thursday she tested positive for COVID-19. McEnany said she has not experienced any symptoms, is in quarantine, and will be working remotely.

Her Twitter post said, “After testing negative consistently, including every day since Thursday, I tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning while experiencing no symptoms. No reporters, producers, or members of the press are listed as close contacts by the White House Medical Unit. Moreover, I definitively had no knowledge of Hope Hicks’ diagnosis prior to holding a White House press briefing on Thursday. As an essential worker, I have worked diligently to provide needed information to the American people at this time. With my recent positive test, I will begin the quarantine process and will continue working on behalf of the American people remotely.” – White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany

Kayleigh McEnany grew up in a Southern Baptist household and gave her life to Christ as a teenager. She is very open about her faith and earlier this year did an interview with CBN News saying, “I believe God put me in this place for a purpose and for a reason like He does with each and every life,” referring to her job as the White House Press Secretary. McEnany is one of the youngest to ever hold the position.

McEnany and her husband Sean since 2017, have an 11-month-old daughter. Please pray for their health and safety.
