Vaccine Exemptions Must Be Based on ‘Bona Fide’ Religious Objections, Not Politics, ADF

(Christian Headlines) Christians requesting an exemption to COVID-19 vaccine mandates should base their objections on a “sincerely held religious belief” and not medical or political concerns, Alliance Defending Freedom, one of the nation’s most prominent faith-based legal groups, said.

ADF says in a new document about vaccine mandates that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 “entitles an employee to request exemptions” from an employer’s directives that “would violate the employee’s sincerely held religious beliefs.”

Employees, though, must be consistent in their beliefs and actions, ADF said.
