On Sunday afternoon, President Donald Trump announced he has extended the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines through the end of April. President Trump mentioned last week that he was hopeful that guidelines would have been lifted in time for Easter Sunday celebrations, but said that was only “aspirational.”
The original social distancing guideline period would have expired today (Monday).
Dr. Anthony Fauci (the government’s top infectious disease expert) has made a dark prediction that 100,000 to 200,000 Americans could die from the coronavirus. Currently the U.S. has recorded over 140,000 infections and 2,400 deaths.
