July 15, 2020 by Staff

(People) Nick Cannon is speaking out about his ViacomCBS termination.

In a lengthy statement shared on Facebook, Cannon, 39, addressed the anti-Semitic remarks that prompted his ouster while firing back at the “deceptive” media company for its alleged treatment of him.

“I am deeply saddened in a moment so close to reconciliation that the powers that be, misused an important moment for us all [to] grow closer together and learn more about one another,” Cannon began. “Instead the moment was stolen and highjacked to make an example of an outspoken black man.
