Microsoft To Say Goodbye to IE, Retiring Its Internet Explorer Web Browser on Windows 10

(USA Today) It might finally be time to bid farewell to Internet Explorer.

On Wednesday, Microsoft announced it plans to retire the web browser for certain versions of Windows 10 on June 15, 2022. After that time, it will also no longer provide support for Internet Explorer.

“The future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is in Microsoft Edge,” reads a blog post from Microsoft published Wednesday. “Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications.”
