(The Daily Citizen) A recent poll has found that a majority of Americans believe it is morally wrong for someone to change their gender. The poll also revealed interesting findings on a wide variety of other controversial topics.
According to the poll conducted by Gallup, 51% of Americans say that it is morally wrong for a person to change their gender. However, 46% say that it is morally acceptable for someone to do so.
This was the first time Gallup has polled Americans on the topic. The fact that one of the nation’s most premier polling companies is just now beginning to conduct surveys on the morality of transgenderism demonstrates how new the issue is to our political discourse.
The poll was conducted from May 3 – 18, 2021 and surveyed 1,015 adults age 18 and older.
