
(CBS Sports) It may have taken longer than first thought, but the NBA finally appears ready to reopen its practice facilities in areas with relaxed stay-at-home guidelines. The league has informed teams that it will do so on May 8 “pending new developments,” according to the New York Times‘ Marc Stein. The league will also reportedly issue guidelines to teams on Wednesday on the specifics of what will be allowable, with Stein noting that lifting weights with a spotter will be prohibited if it forces the player to be within 12 feet of a staffer.
Additionally, the league set the following guidelines for workouts at its facilities last week.
