(ChurchLeaders) Jim Caviezel, the actor who famously portrayed Jesus in Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ,” spoke at “The Patriot Voice” conference over the weekend. The conference has ties to the QAnon conspiracy-theory community, a group of far-right followers of an anonymous poster to the imageboard website 4chan known only as “Q.”
The theme of the conference was “For God and Country: Patriot Double Down” and took place in Las Vegas, NV from October 22 to 25. Featured speakers included Ron and Jim Watkins. Jim is the owner of 8chan, a successor to the site 4chan, and his son Ron is the site’s administrator. Many suspect that Ron is Q, though those reports have never been confirmed.
Other featured speakers included Sheriff David A. Clark Jr., David Harris Jr., George Papadopolous, and Wendy Rogers.
QAnon has been responsible for perpetuating conspiracy theories such as the belief that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from President Donald Trump. Many of the January 6 Capitol rioters had strong QAnon ties.
