(Christian Headlines) Recently the U.S. House of Representatives voted to remove gendered language from being used in Congress. Though Democrats have been trying to pass this bill for years, this is one of the few times it has actually been passed in the House. Now it will go to the Senate for a vote.
As Christian Headlines previously reported, “In one specific instance, the new rules delete ‘himself or herself’ in place of ‘themself.’ They remove phrases such as ‘he or she’ in place of phrases like ‘Member’ and ‘Delegate.’ They also redefine the meaning of ‘relative’ and ‘family member.'”
Franklin Graham responded to the rules, stating they shake their fist at God and try to deny His authority. In a Facebook post, he stated “God ‘created them male and female’ (Genesis 1:27). This is shaking a fist in the Creator’s face, trying to deny His authority.”
