Former Youth Pastor Runs Through With TV to Highlight ‘Racial Bias’ in Arbery Shooting

(Storyful) A white man ran a reported two miles with a TV on his shoulder in Vero Beach, Florida, on May 8, in response to the perceived racial bias that led to the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery.

Gregory McMichaels and son Travis Michaels shot and killed Arbery, an African-American man, in Brunswick, Georgia, on February 23. They reportedly told police he resembled a neighborhood burglar. Arbery was reported to have been jogging, unarmed.

Richard Demick, a former youth pastor, reportedly ran over two miles through his neighborhood as part of a virtual protest on what would have been Arbery’s birthday.
